The Material Boy #51
Zagliani Woven Leather Bag With Electric Blue Piping
Seems everyone is crazy about woven leather since Bottega Veneta got more and more popular over the past few years. Designers such as Miu Miu are doing their own interpretation of woven leather and now Zagliani. A brand created by Mauro Orietti-Carella who started in the field of dermatology, learning to make patients skin smooth and beautiful. He somehow figured out how to inject silicone to add a super buttery feel to his bag creations, especially exotic skin like crocodile leather. Slowly gaining approval and popularity by handbag enthusiasts and celebs worldwide(mostly female), Zagliani has now tapped into the manbag market to appease his male fans.
This is a manbag offering by Zagliani. A beautiful woven leather bag in midnight blue with electric blue piping that makes the bag pop! A cool colour that is masculine and yet eye catching enough to not become boring. The woven leather is smaller and resembles basket weaving rather than Bottega's intercciato weave. So it is not exactly a copy. 2 large exterior pockets allows easy access to regularly used items like sunglasses or keys. I also like the fact that the studs that are used to fasten the handles are also in the same woven leather texture. Nice attention to details. Dimensions are 15.5" (L) x 14.4"(H) x 9"(W), not exactly too overwhelming and will fit nicely for daily use.
I am mostly attracted to the brilliant electric blue piping colour. As the brand is exclusive, you will have very minimal chance of seeing another person using this bag...hence, one of a kind:-)
