Zara Checkered Track Style Jacket

Today after work, I was out in the Orchard Road again for dinner and also to Kinokuniya to pick up some magazines. I got the latest Style and Popeye magazine. Of course, no trip to Orchard Road will be complete with a little window shopping. I do not dare step into any branded stores for fear of my 'wandering eyes' and 'weak will' to succumb to another retail temptation again. So I went to Zara and CK Calvin Klein. The latter is still not a good idea since it is not too cheap. Fortunately, nothing much in CK interests me or got me sleepless. But for Zara, I spotted this nice corduroy track style jacket which I really like. With a checkered design and elastic ribbed collar and cuffs, it is soft and very fitted. The black colour looks amazing and the checkered print is so on trend this season. I could see myself wear this anyday! So easy to match and keep warm especially on these recent rainy weather. Now I am contemplating to buy or not buy. One comforting thought, at least this is not going to break an arm or leg for my wallet. At SGD $89.90, it goes to show nice things dun always have to be branded and overpriced:-P

(Oh, I also tried on a white tuxedo shirt with a bow-tie (SGD $19.90). I look silly..so I pass it up. I love the bow-tie. Someone will make good use of that. Not me. The price is also very reasonable for a not so frequently used fashion item.)

Today I am wearing Pull And Bear T-shirt, Agnés B Dogtag necklace, Dolce Gabbana belt, snakeskin ID bracelet and jeans with White Converse Shoes and carrying my Miu Miu canvas bag.

Marc By Marc Jacobs Pop Art Style 'Marc Of Jacobs' Tee

I tried on this tee on Sat. I am wondering if I should get it. Do you guys think this tee is worth to buy? I like the pop art style design, the screen dots and the huge irregular 'Marc Of Jacobs' slogan. Kinda silly and does not make sense. I always like quirky, make-no-sense fun tees. :-P This one is like those pulp comics lettering...'terror of Blah Blah Blah' nostalgia feel.

Just wondering if I should get it.

My Shopping Dilemma #01 - Resolution

Seems fate has a way of resolving any situations in life. I was torn between choosing either one of the 2 purchases last week, Jacket or Bag. In the end, I actually made the decision to buy both. But was feeling really guilty for putting another huge dent on my finances:-P. So fate has decreed that I should not have this extra 'financial damage' and 'save' me from Baked Beans Boys 'Damnation'. Hahaha.

So I am now left with one choice...which most of you felt I should anyway. I saved money and got what I wanted. And more!:-) Hurray! Tonight I came home with a huge shopping bag but none the big 'bank damage':-P Guilt free shopping? hehe

In view of my recent 'failure' in acquiring a very desired Balenciaga Jacket, I am in an 'upset', 'post shopping frustration' phrase..so now I need 'retail therapy' to ease the disappointment.:-)

Hence, the big question now (Big as in I risk Baked Beans Boys Eternity membership)...should I or should I not buy the Treillis Tote?

A Shopping Dilemma #01

HELP! Shopping Dilemma...

Wanna get some opinions...I have my self impose 'deadline' till this evening...

I am torn between 2 shopping choices..(although I promised myself not to shop anymore for 2 months...but I am very inspired after seeing all my fellow bloggers frantically shopping away.:-)

I have been eyeing on 2 things for now..but I can only buy one in order not to get myself into lifetime membership at Baked Beans club.

One item is a spring summer 2008 navy pinstripe suit jacket at almost 60% off....I love the cut when I first tried it at Club 21 mens...but it was so expensive I had to forgo it...now it is on sale...and at a fraction of the original price. But the size available is one size bigger than what I wear. I am worried it may be too big and difficult to alter to my size. But I do trust the tailor at Club 21 could do wonders since they managed to shorten my Raf Simons jacket's sleeve, that was major alteration. The jacket is from a website so I cannot try it. One important thing, it is seldom I get to buy this jacket from this label at this price. This is a very rare chance. Miss it and it's gone forever. I might have major regrets later.

2nd item is the Guccissima Leather tote bag which I have been unable to get out of my mind. Another bag again...but this bag will be one I could use frequently as the size is just right. Of course the price is within my range as well. With the right bag charm...this bag could look even more outstanding. But I can get it anytime as the bag is available in Singapore.

So the question is which one should I get...

1) the 'not my size' jacket online? (which could be a gamble as I am not so sure how much I can alter to fit me, if it works..then I get a super good bargain!) But I get a hefty savings. If I do not get it, I risk having major regrets at a later time.

2) the bag that will not go wrong but I pay full price and the bag can be bought later since it is available locally and new fall winter 2008/2009 item.

What do you guys think?

If only I can have both...grrrrr.....
