The Material Boy #33
Bally Gladiator Sandals
Check out these sandals from Bally. They remind me of my Gucci Thong Sandals I just featured here, especially the 2 designs on the bottom row. They are again, in a strappy style, with a toe loop. But the usage of cord material for one of the variant is absolutely ingenious. Very beautiful rustic chic. Metal rivets on the sole also adds an extra appeal to the overall shoe design. I totally get the vibe of a island resort vacation in the Mediterranean:-P.
The 2 designs on the top row looks equally ravishing. It comes without a toe loop but straps across the width of your feet. I like it but still prefer the toe loop version. I was shopping at Bally boutique this evening and good news, this design is now available at the Bally boutique in Takashimaya departmental store. 3 colour choices are available, Brown, Beige and the cord version (which is my favourite).
I have touched and inspect the workmanship on these sandals, and I have to say I was impressed. Very well made and you can easily tell it is of a good quality even with a glance. The cord is surprisingly well woven and not fibrous like straw. So no worries, about it wearing out easily. Bally logo is engraved on the ankle strap buckle, subtle but nice touch.
However, they dun come cheap, at SGD $775. Be prepared to deepen your pockets:-P especially for the yummy croc skin version (price unknown). I am drooling now....
Retail price: SGD $775. Where to buy: Bally Boutique at Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City
