Hollywood Sexy Emmy Rossum and Adam Duritz Have Secret Break Up.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Emmy Rossum is living the single life again.The 24-year-old star has revealed that she is no longer dating Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.
"We're still very close friends," Rossum tells USA Today.
The actress says the breakup happened about two months ago.
Rossum and Duritz first sparked dating rumors in September 2009, shortly after the Mystic River star's ex, music executive Justin Siegel, filed for divorce after a year-and-a-half marriage.
Rossum will star in the new Showtime series, Shameless, which premieres in January. She says her role as the oldest child of an alcoholic single parent played by William H. Macy is a dream come true.
"Hollywood doesn't provide you with tons of opportunities if you're a woman," she says. "I don't want to go run around in my underwear and be chased by a guy with a knife. When you're 22 and 23, there's not much that's not either, like, silly teen comedies or horror movies."
