The Material Boy #301

Below: Model spotting the chic Calle 39 Bag in black polished grained calf...

Below: Calle 39 Bag in black polished grained calf, an inspiration from the women's collection

Below: Another of my favourite, Maia 40 Bag in black polished grained calf...a handsome hobo style bag

Below: The Amazona Weekender in luxurious ostrich skin...but I reckon they weigh a tonne even when empty. Not very practical as a travel bag

Below: I cannot help but post the 'clutch' Travel Container in black grained calf

Below: It's not often you get a chain strap for a man's bag, the Paso Bag in black suede looks cool, but it would have been better without the huge branding...

Loewe Fall Winter 2009 Men's Bags/Ready To Wear

I was excited about Loewe's Spring Summer 2009 men's collection under the new creative direction of Stuart Vevers. But it seems that excitement has not continued with his Fall Winter 2009 Men's collection. The sombre palette and less than exciting pieces were seemingly bland, as compared to the bright bold colours of Spring Summer 2009. But all is not lost, there are still a few bags worthy of mention...namely the Calle and Maia bag.

One is shaped like a shopping bag but in luxurious leather (similar to the women's range) and the other a single handle shoulder/hobo style leather bag which looks very smart. Paired with equestrian styling, both of these bags befits a modern baron as he takes his stallion for a ride in the country side.
