At The Chloé Spring Summer 2010 Runway Show...

Paris fashion week has long been over, but what fascinates for a long time are the people who attended the shows. I never get tired of searching for inspirations on real people interpreting fashion. It's interesting to see who wears what and what goes with what. So here's some looks from the guests who attended the recent Chloé SS2010 show.

Guy #1: I thought YSL's downtown bag has lost its allure... but this guy manage to keep the bag relevant by matching it to his 'boot-y' ensemble, which is a key trend of the fall winter 2009 season. Hence, the bag somehow looks 'refreshed' again... All it takes is a bit of inspiration:-)

Guy #2: Lanvin hightops from SS2008 with a suit? Colourful ties to match? Interesting, I must say.

Guy #3: Acid wash jeans, Balmain inspired...man who wears them:-) Goes well with his studded shoes nonetheless...:-P

Ladies #1: Chloé fans, I must say...but those Chloé bags are a sight to behold. Especially the Kira Medium Leather Bag with shoulder strap and chain detail around the base. Chloé is getting back the fashion fans support lately..hope the glory days of the brand will be back again!

Ladies #2:
Alexander Wang is also another designer to watch out for. His creations are favoured with models. And Club 21 mens even stocks the men's collection for Spring Summer 2010... so you can be sure Mr Wang is going to be a name to remember. His fall winter 2009 Coco duffel are such hot sellers and seen on so many fashionistas attending fashion week. On Pedder at Ngee Ann City still stocks the bag. (But it seems too many have surfaced and the novelty is kinda lost.)

Burberry London Spring Summer 2010

Further to my post about the opening of the new Burberry London and Burberry Brit boutiques in NYC, here's more looks from the upcoming Burberry London Spring Summer 2010 collection that should lure you to visit the new store very soon:-P

Sublime palette of olive drab browns/greens, navy blues and greys are accented with a dash of leafy green, summery whites and touches of lavender, making this collection a good transition from winter to the new spring summer season. Military influences abounds as evident in the many olive green coloured pieces and styling. The Burberry checks are given a new spin with the introduction of hearts pattern and leafy silhouettes for fresh appeal and applied onto bags and trenches. The traditional Burberry check pattern no longer stays in the past but is being moved with the times:-) I love progress in a brand's identity so they can always be relevant.

I also especially adore the women's shoes which has strappy designs and worn over socks, making a strong statement for a confident women. The men's collection showcases the Burberry checks on ties, scarves or even a document/laptop folio which is great for the working professional. I can see those pieces becoming a hot seller in the stores.

All in all, a refined collection yet again from Burberry, the brand who seldom disappoints in bringing us elegant, contemporary British styles that is not just about a 6 month trend duration. Start planning your summer looks now... Burberry London seems like a good place to start.

Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows

Not only do I love looking at the works of fashion art in shop windows in New York City, but I also love photographing them because inevitably the reflections on the glass capture more than just fashion. They capture the city and its buildings, people, and unstoppable energy...

Below: Acne Jeans' new Spring Summer 2010 denim with metal plate accents... cool eh? I love this white version with the metal knee pads!

Below: Or the blue one with its 'armour' like metal plating...

Acne Jeans With Metal Plates Spring Summer 2010

Check out these cool skinny jeans from Swedish label, Acne Jeans! As their name suggests, the brand is synonymous with denim and has even collaborated with Lanvin for their denim line. So expectations are high now to see what Acne can come up with for their Spring Summer 2010 collection. Fortunately, they did not disappoint... :-P Cool metal plate accents are added to the upcoming denim offerings, reminiscent of Balenciaga's Sci-Fi aesthetics but yet not derivative. Fabulous! I wonder if I can squeeze into one... suddenly I am loving my 'skinny' legs.:-P I will go for the white one with the metal knee pads. The blue version might be too hard for guys to pull off... What do guys think?

Sexy Tattoos - Simple Ideas You Need to Know That Will Make Your Next Tattoo Very Sexy

Sexy tattoos are the rage these days. Everyone seems to want one but there is no real agreement on exactly what makes a sexy tattoo. Here are some great, simple ideas that will help make your next tattoo very sexy.

First off, a sexy tattoo, no matter where it is placed or what the design, will only be as sexy as the person wearing it. The attitude of the person wearing the sexy tattoo is very important. How does that person carry themselves? If they project a sexy air about them that definitely helps make the tattoo sexy. So remember, half the battle is with you. If you want that tat to be sexy you have to be sexy too.

Something else you may not be aware of is that may tattoo artists will refuse to place the name of the person you are in a relationship with in a private place of your body. Tattoo artists know something you do not-the relationship that is working so well right now may not last forever. When the relationship ends you will have tattoo regret and come back and want that tattoo in the private place removed. Also, there is a karma thing in the tattoo world that says if you do have a partners name tattooed on you it tempts fate and is likely to bring about an untimely ruin of the relationship. Bad karma-not a good thing.

Be sure to think forward with that sexy tattoo in terms of where you will have it placed on your body. Think about how that area of your body might change over the years. If it is placed in a area that might grow from pregnancy, or sag with old age-it won't be sexy when that happens. Remember tattoos are forever, the shape of your body is not.

Some great areas for a sexy tattoo include: lower waist area just above the pelvic region in the front, and the small of the lower back. These areas are very suggestive and are not likely to change in shape as you age.

If you choose to have a tattoo placed in the lower back region-go for something small. A small design will be considered sexier that a big design that spreads over your whole waist line-that could be considered a tramp stamp.

Any place that is considered a private part of your body is generally a good place for a sexy tattoo. The fact that it is private and only for certain people to see, makes it sexy.

Other areas that are more visible that can make for a sexy tattoo are just above the bikini line. Especially a well designed tattoo that points from above the bikini line toward the pelvic region can be very sexy. A shooting star tattoo design that trails down can very sexy.
